About Alpaca Loca
Alpaca Loca is a label specializing in luxurious scarves and throws made from alpaca wool. We consciously choose this material, not only for its exceptional softness and warmth, but also because it is naturally hypoallergenic, durable, and pill-free. Alpaca wool insulates excellently due to its hollow fiber, doesn't prickle, and lasts for years.
About Production
The wool for our products comes from alpacas in Ecuador and Peru. Our collection is crafted by carefully selected artisans and wool-weaving communities in the Andes. We highly value fair wages, good working conditions, and a transparent production chain.
Therefore, we exclusively work with partners and artisan communities who share the same values and produce with equal care and respect.
About Alpacas
An alpaca resembles a small llama and lives in the highlands of South America. They have been bred for centuries for their exceptional fleece — which naturally occurs in 52 colors and requires minimal processing. Softer than sheep's wool, stronger than cashmere. And yes — baby alpacas are among the cutest animals on earth.
